As an IdleServ customer you are required to provide your personal contact details such as name, address, e-mail address and phone number. This information is stored on our billing system which you may update at any time via Client Area.
When registering a new domain name, IdleServ will pass your personal information (name, address, phone number and e-mail) to the domain registry. This information will be publicly viewable on the domain WHOIS record and is a requirement for owning a domain registration.
IdleServ is committed to ensuring your information is secure. Your data may only be accessed via systems that require authentication over highly encrypted connections.
We enforce a strong password policy. Users will not be able to change their password unless it meets a certain complexity threshold.
IdleServ has backup systems in place for all data. Backup data may be distributed over several servers and networks. This will only be done so over highly encrypted connections.
In the event of a data breach that poses risk to individuals, those affected will be notified and the the breach reported to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).
Controlling Your Data
You may update your personal information at any time via our Client Area.
IdleServ will not sell, distribute or lease your personal information unless we have your explicit permission or are required to do so by law. Employees, associates and agents of IdleServ Ltd my be given access to your data but their use will be limited to the scope of their duties. Our employees, associates and agents who have access to your data to required to keep your information confidential and are not permitted to use it for any purposes other than to deal with any requests to send to us.
You may request a digital copy, free of charge, of any personal information we hold about you.
You may request for your personal data to be erased from our systems if it is no longer required, e.g. you have no active services.
When logging in to the client area, you may tick the checkbox to automatically log you in every time you return. This will create cookies which store the necessary account data to sign you in automatically. This feature should not be used on a shared computer.
